¿Donde se encuentr la biodiversidad?
Biodiversity exists everywhere there is life, but some places have higher levels of biodiversity than others. As a general rule, ecosystems that are closer to the equator support a higher level of diversity than those that are closer to the poles. Tropical regions support more biodiversity than temperate regions, and temperate regions support more biodiversity than cold arctic regions. Regions that have particularly high levels of biodiversity are called biodiversity “hotspots” by scientists, and conservation efforts are concentrated in these areas.
